Twenty-five, drunk, two-timed, worn out, and dumped,
Jack is having a mid life crisis of sorts. Working at a gas station by day, and trying to be a writer by night, Jack has always, at best, had a tentative grip on sobriety. But when his writers block wont diminish, and his supposed soul-mate informs him she’s is leaving him for his best friend, Jack finds an all new way of hitting rock bottom with a little help from his drunken obnoxious friends.

After some severe misadventures due to binge drinking, Jack is forced to face some demons. Reflections on broken bones, broken hearts, and a run in with two black angels, Jack thinks he’s having a moment of clarity. But after he’s informed of his Ex-girlfriend moving in with his now ex-best friend, Jack decides to invite his demons out for another round.

Forced to move back home with his stoner father and slovenly brother, Jack desperately needs a ray of sunshine in his life. And that’s when he meets Sara. A Sears’ model with a heart, yet sarcastic and witty, she could be the answer to Jacks prayers, if only he could resolve his trust issues, and his constant longing for his Ex.

A movie exploring love, alcoholism, and relationships from a male perspective, Confessions of a Slacker is a dark comedy that takes you from drunken lows, to hilarious highs, and never lets up all the way to the inevitable collision course of Jack and his notorious afflictions. And chicks will dig it too.
